This is a new TTCC location on the beautiful Greenbelt at Lake Ray Roberts State Park. Ride location is approximately 45 minutes north of DFW metroplex. Trails are heavily shaded with large trees and runs beside the Elm Fork Branch of the Trinity River. The trails are mostly sandy with a few rocky areas (front boots/shoes may be advisable). Primitive camping will be in a large, open area. Trail will be approximately 9 miles and include 10 obstacles.
This event is organized by the Lake Ray Roberts Equestrian Trails Association (LRRETA) which is a group of enthusiastic, dedicated equestrians whose mission is to preserve and enhance the trails of the Greenbelt. LRRETA is a part of the Greenbelt Alliance of Denton County. The Greenbelt Alliance of Denton County is a non-profit 501(c) 3 community-based, volunteer organization that fosters awareness of the Greenbelt (trails south of the dam on road FM 455 in Pilot Point); generates public support; promotes recreational and educational opportunities; and encourages preservation of the Greenbelt in its present, scenic, natural state for the benefit of all. This event is to raise funds for trail restoration and trailhead improvements. The entire equestrian/multi-use trail is 26 miles.
General Information and Requirements:
Everyone must show proof of negative Coggins test. All dogs must be on a leash.
Meals: Friday night- Potluck with meat and beverages provided by management.
Saturday night- dinner for purchase- $8.00

There will be a $10 discount for prepaying by mailing a check payable to: LRRETA and sending it via mail to: Linda Moore, 6348 Stags Leap Rd, Sanger, TX 76266.
Your prepayment 30 days prior to the ride will secure your reservation and result in the $10 discount.
In the case of a full ride, a waiting list will be started and as cancellations open up slots, riders will be added on a 1st come 1st serve basis. Contact the ride manager at least 7 days prior to the ride for a refund of your entry fee.
If not a member of TTCC, must purchase a daily membership at $5 per day or an annual membership for $20.
Additional Fees: $15 per night camping fee.

Directions to ride: Take I-35 to Sanger. Exit 478 for W. Chapman/FM455. Right Turn (East). Continue East about 10 miles. Cross dam. Right Turn at Elm Fork Park sign.
If you are camping or driving directly to the event at the Elm Fork Trailhead on the south fork of the Trinity, please note this is on the south side of FM 455 and south of the Lake Ray Roberts Dam on the Lake Ray Roberts Dam Road. This camping is FREE this weekend courtesy of TPWD for the GreenFest event.
If you are camping at Lake Ray Roberts, Isle Du Bois, Little Blue Stem Equestrian Camping area, it is located approximately 3 miles from the Elm Fork Trailhead on the north side of FM 455. Please note that this is a fee area and overnight camping is $15.00 and must be reserved online through the TPWD system.
